Renovation work on a parish church centre in the West End of Morecambe is under way.
St Barnabas Church on Regent Road has announced that work is taking place on new windows and frames at its adjoining Parish Centre.
At the same time, work has been taking place inside the church on its new Willis organ, which was installed after a major fundraising campaign.
The Parish Centre was built next to the church in 1960 and has been used in several ways over the past 65 years, most recently as a home to the Morecambe Bay Foodbank and Morecambe Homeless Action.
"The centre has always been difficult to maintain, and the PCC have struggled to afford the necessary repairs to make it fit for purpose," said a post on the St Barnabas Facebook page.

"We are very grateful to our friends The Well Communities who are now making a serious investment as part of their long term lease.
"New windows and frames are currently being installed and further renovation will take place over the coming weeks."
A separate post said: "Gary Owens Organ Builders have been in church this week doing some more work on our mighty Willis organ.

"They have been fine tuning and regulating the pipes as well as installing a much needed humidifier to stop the wooden soundboards drying and splitting.
"We are very much looking forward to John Robinson’s Recital on Saturday May 10 at 7pm."
The church held a campaign to raise £110,000 to install an 1865 Father Willis organ, to celebrate the Accession and Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.
Last year, a contract was signed with Henry Willis & Sons Ltd. Organ Builders of Liverpool to build and install the new organ.
Henry Willis (1821-1901) was the foremost organ builder of the Victorian era.
