A new store selling food, drink and other essential items aiming to save customers 'pounds not pennies' has opened in Morecambe's Arndale shopping centre.
Ted's opened for the first time last weekend in the unit formerly occupied by Shoe Zone shoe shop.
Signs inside the new store say that they "sell short dated food and some past its best before date".
"All our products are perfectly edible and are sold at a fraction of their original supermarket price," it says.
"For years the UK has been brainwashed over food sell by dates and best before dates contributing to the billions of pounds of food being wasted every year in the UK."
The 'Ted's Terrific Everyday Deals' Facebook page says they are a food wholesaler which brings "a whole new meaning to save pounds not pennies".
Ted's also opened a store in Rhyl in November.
Shoe Zone closed its Morecambe store last year. The shoe retailer has a shop in Lancaster city centre, which relocated to Penny Street in 2023.
Ted's is not the only new shop to open recently in the Arndale. A new 'Cell Base' mobile phone, laptop and device repair, buy, sell and exchange shop has also arrived in the centre.

In February, the new owners of the Arndale shopping centre in Morecambe said they were "keen to breathe new life" into the Arndale, while advertising some of its empty units for lease.
Dunsmore Estates Ltd bought the 52-year-old shopping centre in 2023.
The Arndale also contains shops including Boots, The Works, Poundstretcher, Iceland, Greggs, Burger King and Poundland, as well as the Morecambe Heritage Centre and The Bay: a Blueprint for Recovery hub.
