The future of the former Frankie and Benny's restaurant in Morecambe is close to being decided.
Owners Lancaster City Council have been contacted by several interested parties who want to take over the empty former American-Italian restaurant on Hilmore Way.
The council are in talks with a view to seeking formal bids for the unit.
The Morecambe outlet of Frankie and Benny's was put up for sale by former owners The Restaurant Group in 2019.
In 2020 the company announced plans to shut 125 of its restaurants nationwide, needing to cut costs due to the Covid pandemic, and the Morecambe restaurant closed.
The council bought the Hilmore Way land, which is also home to a car park, gym and a Domino's pizza takeaway, in 2020.
