Winners have been announced at the 95th annual Bolton-le-Sands Summer Show.
The event was staged by the Bolton le Sands & District Horticultural Society on a warm and sunny August 16 in the village Community Centre.
The show was opened by Lizzie Collinge, MP for Morecambe and Lunesdale, who said “the event was a fantastic show and congratulations to the team on organising such a magnificent display”.
Louise Belcher, show secretary, said: "It was a great team effort and thanked all the team who worked so hard to make the show such a fabulous community event."
This year’s Best in Show exhibit and also the bronze medal from the National Dahlia Society went to newcomer Rebecca Wait for her magnificent vase of dahlias.

Other winners included Martin Ellam who won a silver medal from the National Vegetable Society as well as the Banksian Medal for largest amount of prize money in horticultural classes.
Jill Fenton won a bronze medal from the National Sweet Pea Society. Jill said: "It's my first time at a show. I’m speechless.”
Her mum was over the moon saying “she’ll be back next year”.
Mike Parkinson, a regular exhibitor, won the woodcraft class with a piece of oak which was more than 800 years old, carving a book called 'Lancaster Castle' and a pair of boots and gloves.
He said: “It was as tough as granite to carve because oak hardens with age”.
The weather attracted lots of visitors, many from out of the area but staying locally, all wanting to view the vast and varied selection of exhibits on show.
The local WI supported the event selling locally made cakes and refreshments in a very hot and humid kitchen.
Exhibit numbers continue to hold steady with many new exhibitors showing, even though Southport show was held on the same day and some regular exhibitors were missing, but two halls were still full.

From sumptuous cakes and jams, to children’s vegetable animals and photos, woodwork, homecrafts, floral displays, fruit and veg, there was something for everyone to see.
To finish off the show the extensive raffle was drawn followed by the auction of produce which raised £50 for the local MS support group.
The Annual Autumn Show - the 76th - will be held on Saturday October 18 at 2pm in the Community Centre at Bolton le Sands.
A coffee evening and talk with plant sale will be held on Friday September 12 at the United Reform Church Bolton le Sands. Doors open 7pm. The talk is by Kathy Barton on “Claver Hill: Community Gardening”. Everyone welcome.
