Work has begun on renovating The Chapel building on Lancaster’s White Cross Business Park.
A major investment scheme in the Chapel building and level 3 of Storey House has now commenced, with new modern offices available in Spring 2023 in various sizes.
The Chapel has an upper and lower suite both circa 2500 square feet in size. The Chapel will benefit from a lower carbon footprint thanks to the heating being supplied by air source heat pumps. To support energy efficiency the building is being internally insulated to walls and ceilings and will have new double-glazed windows.
The open plan offices will be complimented by separate meeting room space, fob door access system, broadband connectivity, kitchenette and toilets, with the aim of providing modern high spec office space to support Lancaster’s thriving digital and tech sector.
The building is currently vacant after its most recent occupants, New Life Church, moved out last year.
It was previously a social club connected to the Storey Brothers textile company.
Set in the centre of a thriving cultural city, White Cross Business Park, on South Road, is now home to a large variety of local businesses. A restoration project in 1987 restored the buildings and provided a range of character filled and attractive offices to let.
In total there is 300,000 sq. ft of office space to rent, with around 130 businesses on site.
