Public views are being sought to help shape a new strategy aimed at tackling homelessness and rough sleeping over the next five years.
Lancaster City Council say the strategy has been shaped by a detailed review of homelessness across the district, including speaking directly with people who have experienced it.
A spokesperson for Lancaster City Council said: ‘’Many people think homelessness can be solved simply by giving someone a home. The reality is often much more complex.
‘’People facing homelessness may also be dealing with financial hardship, relationship breakdown, poor mental health, addiction, or a combination of challenges that make recovery difficult.
‘’This is why the strategy seeks to strengthen a joined-up approach with closer working between councils, health services, charities and faith groups to better help with a co-ordinated response to the challenges of homelessness.
‘’Whether you have personal experience, work with people affected by homelessness, or simply care about your local community, we'd like to hear from you.’’
