Two arrests have been made after a report of an assault and robbery outside Lancaster Bus Station.
A police spokesperson said the victim, a teenage boy, was walking on Cable Street when some of a group of around 30 people wearing balaclavas, who were by the entrance to the bus station, approached him.
Jewellery and cash was reported to have been stolen during the incident. The boy did not suffer any serious injuries.
Police were called at 9.30pm on May 8.
An 18-year-old man was charged with assault with intent to commit robbery. He will next appear in court on June 19.
The second man, 18, was arrested on suspicion of robbery. He has been released on bail.
An investigation is continuing.
