An inclusive multi-sensory centre for children and adults with disabilities has opened in Morecambe.
The SEND Den opened its doors at 160 Euston Road on Saturday.
The facility has been described as "a wonderful, inclusive space for children, young people and adults to enjoy" with many different areas of support, services and opportunities available under one roof.
The SEND Den is a multi-sensory play and educational centre designed especially for children, young people, and adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
A fundraising page set up for The SEND Den said: "For too long, families in our community have faced limited access to safe, suitable, and accessible spaces where their children can play, learn, and thrive.
"Many parents feel isolated, especially during colder months, with nowhere to take their children that truly understands and supports their needs. The SEND Den will change that - providing a warm, welcoming space filled with sensory equipment, quiet areas, specialist staff, and activities designed for every ability."
The SEND Den posted this video showing a tour of the facilities.
"Every single week The SEND Den will continue to develop, grow and evolve," said a post on The SEND Den Facebook page.
"We are constantly listening to families, watching how the space is used, and adding new ideas, equipment and opportunities to make it even better. This has always been a community-led project and it will continue to be shaped by the people who use it."

Lizzi Collinge, MP for Morecambe and Lunesdale, cut the ribbon at the official opening on Saturday.
"This weekend has been nothing short of amazing," said a post on The SEND Den Facebook page.
"After so much planning, hard work, determination and a few hurdles along the way, we finally opened our doors and welcomed our very first families into The SEND Den at Euston Road… and what a weekend it has been for us all.
"Seeing children, young people and families come through the doors, explore the space, smile, relax and just be themselves is why we started this journey. Creating a place where everyone feels safe, accepted and supported has always been the dream, and this weekend felt like the first real step of that dream becoming reality.

The SEND Den is open seven days a week, It is available for private hire, and child minders, under fives and 'open to all' sessions.

In 2025, it was announced that The SEND Den planned to open at Ryelands House in Lancaster.
Kelly Sharpe from The SEND Den told Beyond Radio this week that their plans to open at the historic Grade II listed building in Ryelands Park are still going ahead, but due to delays they needed another venue in the meantime.
She said their long-term hope would be to use both buildings.
