A Torrisholme based charity has smashed their latest fundraising target.
Neuro DropIn is based at Torrisholme Methodist Church and supports people who have neurological conditions.
The charity was aiming to raise £10,000 for their ‘winter warmer’ project, match funded by the Co-Op, but thanks to the generosity of donors, more than £12,000 has been collected so far.
Earlier this week, Beyond Radio presenter Mateo Sanderson popped in to the centre, and donated £250 to the fundraiser.
Mateo said: ''It was nice to meet everyone, and I hope to see them all again soon.
‘’They are more than welcome for my donation, and the charity does amazing work. I hope they reach their target!’’
The fundraiser ends tomorrow (March 17), and you can donate here
The money will enable the charity to buy equipment to help offer a stimulating environment to combat the negative effects on people due to the cost of living crisis, such as large screen tablets and table top activities, and technology based activities to help users with matters including emails, online forms, and other forms of personal help.
The charity was set up by Sharon Jackson and helps anyone affected by multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, Parkinson's disease, stroke, epilepsy, dementia, cerebral palsy, Huntington's disease, ME, MG, MSA and acquired brain injury.
The charity offers numerous classes and groups to help people with neurological conditions who may feel isolated and support their mental well-being.
