A new club dedicated to the famous Japanese art of growing and shaping miniature trees has opened in Lancaster.
The new Lancaster Bonsai Club aims to learn and share experience, knowledge and have fun in all aspects of the art and journey of Bonsai.
Monthly meetings are held at Barton Road Community Centre.
At the next meeting on June 17, the club will be joined by renowned Bonsai expert Tony Tickle.
He will deliver a presentation on his vast experience of working with trees and developing his art of Bonsai over the last 35 years.
Tony demonstrates at major conferences throughout the UK and Europe and around the world, including South Africa, China, Brazil, India and the USA, as well as at clubs, societies and organisations throughout the UK.
He will be bringing some of his chosen trees for display and discussion.
Meetings are held from 7pm to 9pm.
