Fire crews had to act quickly to stop a fire in farming machinery spreading to a field in Wray.
Appliances from Lancaster and Hornby Fire Stations attended the incident after the alarm was raised just after 11am on Tuesday (July 14).
A spokesperson said: ‘’Crews used three thousand litres of water to extinguish the fire within an agricultural bailer machine and stop it spreading.
‘’Thanks to quick thinking from the farmer who dumped the bale and disconnected their tractor, the damage was limited to just the affected bailer.’’
Crews were in attendance for approximately two hours.
