A new completion date for work to upgrade the platform canopies at Lancaster Railway Station will be announced "in due course" says Network Rail.
A £9.5m upgrade of the railway station was originally due to be completed in spring 2024.
But a Network Rail spokesperson said this week: "The work to renovate the platform canopies at Lancaster station is ongoing.
"We understand the positive impact this will have to passenger journeys on the West Coast main line and will be able to provide an up to date completion date in due course."

In 2023, Network Rail announced that all glazing in the canopies would be replaced, the canopy structures would be repaired and strengthened, and there would be repainting across the station.
The overhaul aims to make them brighter, weatherproof and more attractive for passengers.
The Grade II listed station was built in 1846 by 19th century architect William Tite and was given listed building status in 1990.
