A scooter weekend in Morecambe has been hailed as a great success and has raised £2,500 for local charities.
The Morecambe Rides Again scooter rally, held from July 15 to 17, saw hundreds of scooter enthusiasts descend on the town for a weekend of live music.
Organisers announced that the event raised £1,250 each for St John's Hospice in Lancaster and A Breath for Life, a Middleton-based charity dedicated to providing oxygen therapy for severely injured people.
The scooter rally included a 'Ride In' of scooters on Saturday afternoon and live music at West End venues Alhambra Live, The Exchange and The Boardwalk.

Organiser Mark Dugan thanked sponsor Lee Bradbury of R&B Estate Agents, Rob and Debbie at the Exchange, Lee and Maree at The Boardwalk, Fiona and Alex at The Alhambra and their respective teams, acts Mark ‘Soulman’ Yates, The Immediates, The Inciders, The Substitutes, The Stories, A Band Called Malice, The Ska45s, Away From The Numbers and The Reggie Mental band, Mark Clement for the sound at The Alhambra, Paul Kelly on the decks, Nigel Midgeley and Bernie Kelly for the sound at The Exchange. Centurion Scooter Club for marshalling the ride in, Ian Cambray and John Blackburn for their assistance with the ride, Scott at SP Signs, Bill and Michelle at Sunnyside Campsite for hosting campers for the weekend, everyone who attended, and his wife Joan for her unwavering support.
He also announced that Morecambe Rides Again will return from July 14 to 16 2023.
