An 18-year-old man from Morecambe has been charged following an attempted armed robbery in the town.
The man has been charged with attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.
A 23-year-old man who was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a Class B drug has been released whilst enquiries are ongoing.
Officers were called to Westminster Road in Morecambe at 4.28pm on Wednesday (May 18) following reports a man had entered a convenience store with a large machete.
