Major resurfacing works are set to take place on a main road between Lancaster and Morecambe.
A temporary road closure is in place for a section of Torrisholme Road between 8am on Monday August 12 and 6pm on Friday August 29, or earlier should the works be completed before the end date.
This will be between the junction with Barley Cop Lane - the road leading to the Crematorium - to the junction with West Drive Roundabout by the Spar shop at Scale Hall.
"Vehicular access for residents and emergency services will be maintained whenever and wherever possible," says a Traffic Regulation Order notice by Lancashire County Council.
"Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
"Works are weather dependent and may be carried out on any of the dates specified.
"An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:- Scall Hall Lane – A589 Morecambe Road – A589 Lancaster Road."

Stagecoach has announced diversions for affected bus services, from Monday August 12 at 8am to Wednesday August 20 at 6pm.
The 100 bus service from Lancaster to Morecambe will divert via Morecambe Road to the Shrimp Roundabout, then through Torrisholme to regain its normal route at Torrisholme Square, for the duration of the closure.
The 100 from Morecambe to Lancaster will divert from Torrisholme mini roundabout towards the Shrimp Roundabout then Morecambe Road.
Passengers traveling between Lancaster and Morecambe are advised to use bus stops on Morecambe Road or Torrisholme.
The stops in both directions between Scale Hall Lane and Thorpe Avenue will not be served for eight days.
The 1/1A services will divert via Morecambe Road in both directions between Scale Hall and the Shrimp Roundabout.
Passengers are advised to use bus stops on Morecambe Road.

Anyone requiring Torrisholme bus stops between Michaelson Avenue and Torrisholme Square should board the 100.
Passengers in Torrisholme who travel between Lancaster or Morecambe should board and alight the 100.
Bus stops between Scale Hall Lane and Michaelson Avenue will not be served for eight days.
*Road resurfacing works are also taking place on Kingsway in Heysham, affecting bus services in the area.
The number 1 bus is being diverted onto Sugham Lane, Heysham Road and then to Mossgate Park Road, then on its normal route to Heysham Towers.
The 1A is diverted from Heysham Road onto Mossgate Park Road, then on its normal route to Heysham Towers. Both diversions are in place until August 20.
