The M6 J34 northbound exit slip will remain closed until tomorrow at the earliest, following a diesel spill yesterday.
Police say the stretch of road needs resurfacing.
In a statement, they said: ‘’If you were planning on using this road, we would advise you to look at alternative routes and leave plenty of time to make your journey.’’
