A Lancaster primary school has held a successful Community Day attended by police, fire and ambulance, local councillors and the mayor.
Willow Lane Primary School's Community Day was also visited by representatives of CAHMS (Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services), Morecambe Football Club, Lancaster and Morecambe College, Wise Up Workshops, Cancer Care and Galloway's Society for the Blind.
A school spokesperson described the event, held on June 17, as "a great day and the children learned lots about safety, first aid, making wise choices, health and wellbeing" and thanked all the services involved.
Police officers held a road safety lesson with pupils, with interactive quizzes.
The children got to dress in police uniforms and sit in a police car to put the blue lights on and use the sirens.
This was followed by a summer fair, attended by families from the local community.
