Morecambe Pride returns this weekend (Saturday, July 30th).
The third Pride event in the resort begins with the parade starting at The Battery at 11am.
There will then be speeches, followed by an afternoon of free entertainment on the bay stage, near the Midland Hotel.
The line-up includes Grace Warwick, Smashby, Andy Crosbie as Elton John, Jessie Dale, Channy and Pete Valentine as George Michael.
There will be an after party at Johnny’s Warehouse from 5pm.
The event is being organised by local charity Out in the Bay, who work with the LGBTQI community, people who misuse drugs and alcohol, and those living with long-term sexual health conditions.
The event had been under threat after Morecambe Town Council turned down a funding bid, but this was later overturned and the event received £7,000.
