A new Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) parking system was due to launch this week in patient and visitor car parks at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

Lancaster's Cottage Museum has been shortlisted for a major new award voted for by the public which was launched by a well-known TV presenter and historian.
