Beyond Radio presenter joins The Traitors-style game show for Lancaster charity

Greg Lambert from Beyond Radio with Lisa Lambert from CancerCare

A Beyond Radio presenter could be donning the famous cloak of 'The Traitors' to raise money for a very good cause.

Greg Lambert will take part in a fundraiser for CancerCare inspired by the smash hit TV game show.

Greg will be one of the contestants in 'The Betrayers' to be held at the Ashton Memorial, Williamson Park in Lancaster, on Thursday October 16.

It's an evening of game-playing, codebreaking, networking, and most importantly raising money for the Lancaster-based cancer charity.

Greg will be one of 20 representatives from local businesses who will complete missions together but then navigate mind games with each other at The Round Table - just like on the BBC1 TV show.

This will be an evening of deceit and loyalty. Those you may trust in the business world may be far from trustworthy whilst playing this game.

Players will begin the game at noon on the day with the first challenge taking place from their office - or studio, in Greg's case! - with the help from colleagues, friends and business contacts.

Greg said: "I'm a big fan of The Traitors TV show so I'm really looking forward to being one of the contestants in The Betrayers.

"The Ashton Memorial is the perfect location for a night of intrigue!

"I did think, that, with his poker face, Beyond Bear would be the ideal contestant for The Betrayers. But he's far too nice to be a Traitor!

"CancerCare does some amazing work helping people with cancer, and their families, across the Lancaster and Morecambe Bay area, so I am delighted to support them."

Lisa Lambert from CancerCare (no relation!) joined Greg on his Beyond Radio show The Resident on July 15 to reveal his participation in The Betrayers.

They also had some help from Beyond Bear!

A CancerCare spokesperson said: "We are excited to reveal that Greg will be one of the contestants in our Traitors- inspired fundraiser at the Ashton Memorial on 16th October 2025.

"Greg is a well-known and much-loved voice in the local community, but will he be able to keep his cool as a Traitor if the opportunity presents?

"He wants to raise as much money possible for CancerCare, so please show your support if you can (and possibly save Greg from banishment!) Visit his JustGiving page HERE.

"We are looking for support from local businesses to come and join this fun event and help raise much needed funds for your local cancer charity. Guests will enjoy welcome canapes and fizz on arrival, and we promise an evening of fun, intrigue and entertainment await."

The award-winning The Traitors, hosted by Claudia Winkelman, has had three series on BBC1 and is billed as "the ultimate reality show". The final this year drew an average TV audience of 7.4million viewers.
