The world’s favourite Liverpool-born tribute to the Fab Four are back with an all-new show celebrating the 60th anniversary of A Hard Day’s Night.

Pure Weller

A Yorkshire based tribute to the music of Paul Weller, reaching back through The Jam and The Style Council, but more importantly focusing on his solo output.

Morecambe Poetry Festival

Back for a third year, including performances by Mike Harding, Pam Ayres, Henry Normal, Alistair McGowan, Lemn Sissay, Donna Ashworth, Thick Richard, Robin Ince and Raymond Antrobus.

Plus on new second stage you can expect to find poets as wide ranging as Manchester’s Tony Walsh, Emma Purshouse, Atilla the Stockbroker, Kate Fox, Helen Ivory, Martin Figura, Steve Pottinger, Ollie Sykes and Chris Lynam.

There will also be open mic sessions allowing new and emerging poets the chance to try out new material plus free poetry writing workshops led by Big White Shed.

Morecambe Comedy Club

Launch night for a stand-up series at Morecambe FC, with host Bill Woolland and featuring comics Steve Royle, Ignacio Lopez and Archie Kelly.

Motown Magic - Diana Ross Night

Cherie Jade's international tribute with DJs Steve Middlesbrough and Ian Simpson, tickets in aid of the RLI Dementia Unit.

Friday, September 20, Jubilee Club, Torrisholme, 8pm

Hi-on Maiden

The world’s longest running Iron Maiden tribute band, celebrating 40 years of the “Powerslave” album, with a set dedicated to recreating the 1984 tour.

Saturday, September 21, 8pm, The Platform, Morecambe

 

Nish Kumar: Nish, Don’t Kill My Vibe

The Mash Report, Taskmaster, and Live at the Apollo star with his latest stand-up show.
