Russell Kane and star of The Chase among big names at Lancaster Castle comedy show

Top comedians will appear at 'Comedy at the Castle' next summer

Stand-up star Russell Kane and TV quiz superbrain Paul 'The Sinnerman' Sinha are among the names announced for a new evening of comedy at Lancaster Castle.

'Comedy at the Castle' will be a night of live performances from some of the funniest names in British and Irish comedy.

The event next June has been organised by promoters Closeup Comedy and street food experts Digbeth Dining Club, as part of a three-day independently-run festival where 30 comedians specialising in one-liners, observational, satirical, and surreal comedy take to stages across three stunning sites.

The festival also visits Warwick Castle and Powderham Castle in Exeter.

“We are totally overjoyed to finally release our biggest and best line-up yet, which draws on the success of previous years as well as feedback from audience members," said Harry Jenkins, Comedy at the Castle director.

“Adding Lancaster Castle has been almost 18 months in the making, and 2026 feels like the right moment to grow our offering."

Names announced for the Lancaster show include top stand-up comics Kane, Sinha (star of hit ITV quiz show The Chase), Paul Smith, Joanne McNally, Seann Walsh, Larry Dean, Nina Gilligan, Stephen Bailey, Hayley Ellis, Lindsey Santoro, Brennan Reece and Freddy Quinne.

The line-up is:

Friday: Freddy Quinne, Joanne McNally (headliner), Hayley Ellis, Stephen Bailey and Seann Walsh.

Saturday: Freddy Quinne, Russell Kane (headliner), Paul Sinha, Lindsey Santoro and Mike Rice

Sunday: Freddy Quinne, Paul Smith (headliner), Larry Dean, Brennan Reece and Nina Gilligan.

The site opens at 6pm and the show starts at 8pm.
