Police have seized around 8kg of cannabis with an estimated street value of around £80,000 after officers stopped a vehicle on the M6 near Kendal.
Officers made the stop near Killington Services last Friday (November 17)
Quan Din Ngo, 30, of no fixed address, has since been charged with possession of a class B drug with intent to supply.
He is due to appear before Carlisle Crown court on 21 December 2023
A second man, aged 59, was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B drug with intent to supply. He has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
The seizure forms part of forms part of Operation Alliance - Cumbria Constabulary’s ongoing response to protect the county against serious and organised crime.
