Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision on the A591 at Troutbeck Bridge, near Windermere.
It happened just before 9pm on Wednesday (November 13 ) and involved a blue Porsche Macan and a black Hyundai i20.
The driver of the Hyundai, a man, sustained serious injuries.
The driver of the Porsche did not sustain serious injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any other information which may assist should contact officers on 101, referring to incident 212 of November 13.
