Morecambe went down to a disappointing 1-0 defeat in their opening away fixture of the National League North season.
A second half Riley O'Sullivan penalty was enough for Harborough Town to take all three points after a dominant performance against the Shrimps.
In the first half Morecambe’s only effort on goal came from Jake Cain in the 10th minute, but he shot straight at the keeper.
Ronnie Blois was stretchered off in the 31st minute after a lengthy delay to the game.
Harborough dominated the ball and had the better of the chances. They did put the ball in the back of the net, but O’Sullivan was flagged offside before half time.
The second half had barely even got going before the home side were awarded a penalty.
Joe Young tipped a header onto the bar, before a goal-mouth scramble ensued and amidst all the chaos, the referee pointed to the spot.
O’Sullivan converted and it was no less than Harborough deserved.
Morecambe have one point from their opening two league games of the season.
The Shrimps return to the Halo Aerospace Stadium on Tuesday night to play South Shields.
