Lancaster's Scott McTominay lifts FA Cup with Manchester United

Scott McTominay lifts the FA Cup at Wembley

Lancaster footballer Scott McTominay has an FA Cup winner's medal after his team Manchester United upset Manchester City.

McTominay played almost the full game at Wembley as United beat their deadly rivals 2-1.

The 27-year-old midfielder, who went to St Wilfrid's Primary School in Halton and Our Lady's in Lancaster, was substituted near the end of the game, hobbling off after a battling performance in midfield.

But the Scotland international joined in with the celebrations on the pitch after the final whistle, getting his hands on the trophy for the first time after twice before being on the losing side in FA Cup Finals.

United's goalscorers were teenagers Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo, with Jeremy Doku replying late on for the Premier League champions.
