Lancaster boxer Walter Fury scored a points win in his second professional outing watched on from ringside by his impressed cousin Tyson Fury.

Fury boxed to a four round points win over tricky veteran Dale Arrowsmith in Liverpool on Saturday.

The 27-year-old displayed a relaxed style and fast hands on his way to winning every round at the M&S Bank Arena, on the undercard of Nick Ball's WBA Feathwerweight Title fight.

After his second consecutive win, Walter spoke to Dev Sahni from the Frank Warren's Queensberry Promotions YouTube channel.

"I enjoyed it, I could have done a lot more, he was an awkward man but I did the job and what I had to do to get the win," he said.

"I've learned a lot of things. They call them journeymen but he's a tough man, he gave me a decent fight, but I'm a bit of a classier boxer.

"There isn't a better man in boxing to have at your side (than Tyson). The support of my family means everything to me. I've learned a lot of things from watching Tyson over the years."

Former world heavyweight champion Tyson, who is about to enter full training camp for his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk on December 21, said: "Have you ever seen someone with two fights relax like that? It looked like he'd had 159 fights.

"I'm very proud of him. Very good boxing, very slick."

Middleweight Walter boxed numerous amateur contests in the Lancaster and Morecambe area before deciding to turn pro earlier this year.

His late father Hughie also trained Tyson during the early years of his career at his gym in Skerton, Lancaster.

Local boxing trainers Bob Howard and Matt Catterall were in Walter's corner on Saturday night.
