Lancaster City’s away game against Marske United this evening (October 4) has been called off due to floodlighting issues.

The two sides were set to face each other at Mount Pleasant in North Yorkshire tonight but a new date will now be arranged.

Vandals damaged the stadium’s floodlights last week which forced Marske’s game against South Shields last Tuesday off, and now their meeting with the Dolly Blues has been officially postponed. The club began fixing damage to the floodlights yesterday.

In a statement on their social media pages, Marske United said: “Tonight’s game at home to Lancaster City has been postponed due to ongoing issues with the floodlights after the vandalism occurred last week.

“A new date will be confirmed as soon as we have it.”

Lancaster City’s next game will be a third round qualifying tie in the Isuzu FA Trophy away to Morpeth Town on Saturday (October 8).
