Morecambe darts star Dave Chisnall has taken victory in the Players Championship 6 in Hildesheim, Germany.
Chisnall beat Dirk van Duijvenbode 8-6 in the final to take the £15,000 top prize in the tournament on Tuesday - winning the 17th Players title of his career.
Dave raced into the lead and then took out a majestic 135 finish to move 7-5 ahead before finishing off the Dutchman.
"We both struggled, it was one of those finals where you've just got to get over the line," said Chisnall.
"My game is there, I've just got to bring it.
"This win is massive for me. I know I can beat the best."
Earlier Dave ousted Ross Smith 7-4 in the semi-final, after beating Martin Schindler 6-2 in the quarters.
Chisnall was crowned the 2023 ProTour Player of the Year having won three European Tour titles and two Players Championship events, but has endured a difficult start to 2024.
But he looked back to his best in Germany, beating Cameron Menzies 6-5, Adam Gawlas 6-0, Vincent van der Voort 6-3 and then producing an incredible 112.02 average to defeat Dom Taylor in the last 16.
