Developers interested in building a 'leisure and hospitality' scheme on the Frontierland site have been invited to a special event at the Winter Gardens.
Lancaster City Council and property magazine Place North are inviting would-be partners to the 'Morecambe Investment Tour' at the theatre on Thursday October 3.
They said developers interested in regenerating the former Wild West theme park will have the chance to "learn all about upcoming opportunities to invest in the leisure/hospitality sector" in the town.
The council wants to appoint a partner to help them develop the former funfair on Morecambe's seafront, which has been mainly derelict for the best part of 25 years.
They prefer bids from commercial leisure, hospitality and mixed-use developers or consortia (with identified lead organisation) to "promote and develop a comprehensive leisure and hospitality-led development that will help capitalise on Eden Project North and the estimated 3,700 peak daily visitors".
A spokesperson for Place North said: "There is an opportunity to broaden Morecambe’s offer, help attract new visitors and convert day trippers into overnight stays.
"However, the focus is not just on visitors, the redevelopment of the site must also benefit residents, particularly the leisure offer.
"The successful regeneration of the former Frontierland site is critical to enhancing Morecambe’s visitor economy, boosting the local economy and delivering placemaking for central Morecambe. The timing of the procurement provides bidders with the opportunity to realise completion of either the whole or phases of the development to coincide with the opening of Eden Project North."
Councillor Phillip Black, leader of Lancaster City Council (pictured below), said: “Morecambe’s future is on the up and we have in our hands a golden opportunity to redevelop Frontierland into something that will drive forward the town’s economy. I look forward to welcoming potential partners to Morecambe and showcasing this fantastic development opportunity.”
The event will include a presentation about the opportunities available along with a Frontierland site visit followed by lunch and networking.

Last November, the city council, who own the Frontierland site, published a list of 'draft objectives' for the land on Marine Road West.
The number one objective was a leisure-led redevelopment, which may also include hotels and/or apartments, public spaces for events and festivals, and only a "modest amount" of shops.
A public consultation took place earlier this year on the objectives.
The council said the results were being used by a Frontierland Project Board to agree a development brief and attract private investment for the site.
The Wild West theme park closed in 2000.
