Work is under way to give a popular children's play park an exciting new look.
Torrisholme Park Play Area is being revamped with brand new attractions.
An artist's impression of how the park might look, shows that the new play area will include a Treetop Towers Canopy, a Teacup Twister and a 4-saw See Saw.
Work got under way at the park on the corner of Michaelson Avenue earlier this week.

The old surfacing is also being removed and will be reinstated with soil and turf, and grass matting will be placed around the equipment. An accessible path and gates will also be installed and a central seating area will allow parents to watch their children play.
The revamp is being funded by £50,000 from the Walney Extension Community Fund, £20,000 from the Lancashire Environmental Fund, and £6,000 from Lancaster City Council’s own Making Spaces Fund.
Lancaster City Council has been working with the Friends of Torrisholme Park to draw up plans to upgrade the playground after residents rated the previous equipment as poor and in need of attention.
