UB40 and Sister Sledge to play music festival in Carnforth

UB40 featuring Ali Campbell will headline Leighton Live in Carnforth

UB40 will headline a live music festival in Carnforth to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

The legendary reggae band, featuring lead singer Ali Campbell, will appear at the new festival Leighton Live on Friday night, June 3 at Leighton Hall in Carnforth.

Expect ‘Red Red Wine’, ‘I Got You Babe’, ‘(I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You’ and ‘Kingston Town’ in the amazing grounds of the Leighton Hall stately home. Support will come from Reggae Roast.

Sister Sledge, iconic disco divas, have also been announced for the Saturday night, June 4, as well as the Ministry of Sound Disco playing disco and house hits of the 80s, 90s and 00s, and DJs Graeme Park and Funkademia.

The Halle Orchestra will then perform at a 'Last Night of the Proms' Big Jubilee Picnic on the Sunday, with a fireworks finale and supporting music acts to be announced.

The event is a brand new festival organised by the team behind Highest Point festival in Lancaster.
