Bay Hospitals Charity is launching a new campaign aimed at helping people get fit and stay active, while also raising funds to support their local hospitals.
The charity, which supports University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust, is encouraging people to set up a Just Giving page and raise sponsorship by doing any sort of physical activity to get fit for the summer.
It could be running, walking, cycling, weight training, aerobics, swimming or anything else - participants are free to choose their own activity and set their own goal to match their interests and fitness level.
Bay Hospitals Charity funds the latest equipment for University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust to help make patients more comfortable and ensure they get the best possible care and treatment.
University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust Non-Executive Director and Active Lancashire Chief Executive Adrian Leather said: “Keeping fit and doing regular exercise is an absolutely essential part of looking after ourselves physically and mentally.
“I’d love to see as many people as possible take on the Spring into Action challenge to get in shape while supporting our amazing hospitals.
“Whatever activity you decide to do, please have fun and remember to follow current government guidelines on social distancing and gatherings.”
