Queen tribute head 80s themed Alannafest to celebrate CancerCare’s 40th anniversary

A 1980s themed Alannafest will celebrate CancerCare’s 40th anniversary later in the summer.

AlannaFest 2023 will take place at a new venue, The Trimpell Sports and Social Club on Sunday, August 27th, and will feature live music from Queen II tribute band, Morecambe band The Fuse, tributes to Yazoo and Tina Turner, as well as sets from Mark McKenna and Melanie Horabin.

There will also be performances from the Happy Feet Cheerleaders and Strawberry Dance Studios, and Beyond Radio will be there too!

The family run outdoor music festival raises money for the charity, in memory of Alanna Duffy, a young mum from Morecambe, who lost her fight with Acute Myloid Leukemia back in 2008, aged just 26.

Historically, the event has raised thousands of pounds for the charity every year.

The event also includes attractions including inflatables, children's rides, craft stalls, a lucky dip, tombola, big prize raffle, candy floss, barista and desserts, street food, face paints, dance performances, doggy watering hole, sweet stall, snow cones, hair accessories, ice cream, novelty toys, children’s books, delicious cakes, bath bombs, Bodyshop, trampolines, zorbs and much more.

Anyone interested in a stall or becoming a sponsor, can contact the organisers at alannafest@hotmail.com or by clicking here
