Police are investigating after five burglaries in a week in the same area of Lancaster.
The break-ins are happening in the area close to Lancaster Girls' Grammar School, a detective inspector has said.
Det Insp Adie Knowles said it was an "ongoing issue that is getting frustrating" when he spoke about it during his 'Beyond the Beat' show on Beyond Radio on Tuesday.
Det Insp Knowles said the incidents had been on Sibsey Street (two, overnight on November 11 and 13), one on Wingate-Saul Road overnight on November 12-13, one on Regent Street on November 13 and one on Lincoln Road.
"They're all the same kind of thing, back gardens, sheds being forced open, stealing bikes or attempting to steal bikes," he said.
"Somebody knows where these bikes are going, someone's buying these bikes that are stolen. Someone knows who's doing it.
"There are dedicated patrols overnight to try to stop this.
"If anyone has any infornation that could assist us, or saw anything suspicious on those dates or on those streets, please let us know."
Contact police on 101, call Crime Stoppers on 0800 555111 or visit Lancaster Police Station with information.
