Lancaster's annual open-air ice rink and Big Wheel will open for the Christmas and New Year period from tonight (Friday November 21).
Lancaster On Ice will be open in Dalton Square from 5pm and then until January 4.
The popular Chiptech UK Big Wheel has also returned, along with food and drink stalls, and a Tipi Bar.
Staff were at work on Friday morning putting the finishing touches to Lancaster On Ice ready for the opening.
Organisers said The Tipi Bar will be closed for a VIP Launch Event on Friday but The Borough pub will be open until late serving food and drinks.
General skating sessions of one hour (45 minutes on the ice) will be on offer at the 800m2 real seasonal ice-rink.

All tickets include skate hire, and customers with their own skates are welcome to bring their own too.
Lancaster On Ice's website says: "Customers are requested to arrive at least 20 minutes before a session start time in order to exchange shoes for skates.
"Children 12 and under must be accompanied on the ice by a parent or guardian or person over the age of 16 in the interests of safety. It is a parents responsibility to decide whether or not their child should be allowed on the ice. Children 13 years and above are able to skate independently, and should purchase an over 13 ticket for this purpose.
"Skate Aids are available for small children to use, with their parents and are strictly limited to use for children under 10 years old and under 110cms due to safety.
"Please note that all tickets are subject to a booking fee, applied at the checkout, of £1.50 per person."

Lancaster On Ice is the brainchild of Hannah and Martin Horner from the nearby Borough pub.
Since 2018 it has become a fixture of the Christmas season in Lancaster, as well as the ice rink surrounding the Queen Victoria Memorial.
In 2019 Lancaster on Ice won the Lancaster Tourism Award for best Large Event.
