A new Tesco Express in Morecambe is taking shape ahead of its opening date.
Work is continuing and signage is now in place for the new supermarket in the former Co-Op building on the Westgate shopping precinct.
Earlier this year Tesco said they were hoping to open the new store in April.
A Tesco spokesperson said this week that they did not yet have an opening date for the store but would update the local community in due course.
Scaffolding and fencing is up around the Glentworth Road West premises as the work takes place and nearby businesses remain open.
The Co-Op store closed recently after the company sold the building to Tesco.
The Westgate premises has been a supermarket, under different guises, for many decades.
