Two major incidents on the M6 around Lancaster have caused significant travel disruption today.
At 10:30am, the M6 southbound between Junction 34 for Lancaster and Junction 33 for Galgate saw two lanes closed to allow a lorry that overturned onto the embankment on Monday to be recovered.
Recovery work took three and a half hours, with delays stretching back to Junction 36 at Kirkby Lonsdale at one point.
Traffic has since returned to normal along that stretch.
Then at around 3pm, a collision was reported between two vehicles which blocked lanes 2 and 3 on the northbound carriageway between junctions 32 and 33.
Traffic began to return to normal at around 5pm, with residual delays still on surrounding roads.
