Motorcyclist taken to hospital after road collision at Over Kellet

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a collision in Over Kellet.

Emergency services were called on Sunday after the incident on Kellet Road involving a motorbike and a van.

Two fire engines from Bolton le Sands and Carnforth, police and ambulance attended.

A police spokesperson said: "We were called at 3.18pm yesterday to Kellet Road, Over Kellet, to a report of a road traffic collision.

"Officers attended and found that a van and a motorbike had been in collision.

"The rider of a motorbike, a woman in her 30s, suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment."

A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Fire service trauma technicians administered first aid to one casualty using two trauma packs.

"Crews made the scene safe using an environmental pack and the casualty was handed over to the care of North West Ambulance Service.

"Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and 15 minutes."
