The Armed Forces Day parade in Morecambe will start from the Clock Tower

Events will take place in Morecambe on Sunday (June 26) to mark Armed Forces Day.

They will begin with a parade starting from the Clock Tower on the Promenade at 10.30am.

There will be a march to the War Memorial followed by a drum head service.

From noon, The Platform in Morecambe will host service attendees, invited guests and members of the public to displays and entertainment. Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided by the WI (Women's Institute) with all proceeds going to military charities.

The Royal Bar and the Palatine pub will also be meeting points for services personnel and veterans during the day.

Services veterans are encouraged to wear their uniforms and medals.

Armed Forces Day celebrates our Armed Forces and their support for our communities throughout the UK.

The Armed Forces Day flag was hoisted today at Morecambe and Lancaster town halls.
