The manager and a barman at a Morecambe pub are getting ready to take on a gruelling mountain challenge for a great cause.
Nigel Pearson and Oliver Hobart will be taking on the 3 Peaks Challenge - climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales all within a 24-hour period.
The intrepid duo, who work at the Dog and Partridge (D&P) on Bare Lane in Morecambe, will take on Ben Nevis (1,345m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1085m), one after the other, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. They will set off from the pub on Friday morning.
Other staff from Greene King, the pub chain which owns the D&P, will be taking part too.
Last year Nigel tackled seven 10km runs in seven days, then on the final day walked up Scafell Pike in the Lake District National Park, to raise money for Macmillan.

Before taking over at the D&P, Nigel was the long-time licensee of the King's Arms on Morecambe Prom.
The Macmillan charity provides services for people living with cancer, raising money to provide vital cancer services, research and campaign to achieve better cancer care.
