The new owners of Morecambe Football Club have received a prestigious award in Parliament.
Panjab Warriors were recognised by the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on British Sikhs for pioneering representation and leadership in sport for the Sikh and Panjabi community.
Gurpreet Singh, director of marketing and communications at Panjab Warriors, was at the Houses of Parliament to collect the award, alongside Kuljeet Singh Momi, chairman of Morecambe FC.
"It was a powerful evening in Westminster, with meaningful conversations with Preet Gill MP and Jas Athwal MP about the future of Panjabi representation, youth opportunity, and the wider vision we are building through football," said a spokesperson for Panjab Warriors.

"A heartfelt thank you to The Sikh Network for organising an exceptional event and for continuously championing community voices at the highest levels of Parliament.
"A historic moment for our community. This recognition is more than an award, it is a reminder of the responsibility we carry.
"Panjab Warriors will continue to open doors, break ceilings, and create pathways for the next generation."
Panjab Warriors took over Morecambe FC in the summer, becoming the first Sikh-owned club in the top five tiers of English football.
