LISTEN NOW to Andy Lemm talking about his new role at the Midland:
"It's a fantastic opportunity," said Andy, who lives in Lancaster.
"It's such an iconic building, a massive honour and I can't wait to get started.
"The feedback for the hotel is phenomenal. I'm very lucky that I've inherited a team that delivers constantly.
"Morecambe is on the up and can grow, and continue to grow. The signs are there, and have been for a number of years now, and the Midland has to be part of that.
"There are some great businesses and people in Morecambe.
"At the Midland this year, we've got the Drinks Festival, Seafood Festival, Vintage which we take part in, a load of murder mysteries going on, and in November we're looking at doing a Murder Mystery Weekend, working with local company After Dark. It's going to be Murder at the Midland!"
Andy takes over from Mark Needham who has moved on to a new role after seven years at the Midland.
