Lancaster's celebrated festival of light will return for three days of magical illuminated artworks.
Light Up Lancaster will return on November 6, 7 and 8 and once again light artworks, installations and projections will playfully light up the city’s heritage buildings and open spaces.
This year’s theme has been announced as ‘In The Blink of an Eye’ - about the impermanence of things, even the things we think are always going to be the same.
Each of the artworks and installations takes place from 5pm to 10pm on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

You will be able to see artwork at places including Lancaster Priory, The Dukes, Dalton Square, the Water Witch at Lancaster Canal, Lancaster Castle, the Judges' Lodgings, Sun Square and for the first time this year, Williamson Park.
A food hub will be open in Market Square each night, hosted by FoodFutures: North Lancashire’s Sustainable Food Network.
Light Up Lancaster’s Explore Week will be back too. This is five days’ of workshops and hands-on activities celebrating light, art and science and runs from October 27 to 31.
