The leader of Lancaster City Council has been re-elected for a two year period.
Councillor Caroline Jackson received most votes from her fellow councillors during a meeting at Morecambe Town Hall on Monday.
Councillor Jackson, from the Greens, was duly elected for 2025/26-2026/27.
She received 31 votes, with 19 councillors voting for Councillor Jason Wood, leader of the Labour group on the council.
Councillor Jackson also appointed her cabinet, which showed one change.
Councillor Sam Riches, of the Greens, is now cabinet member for climate action, replacing her colleague Gina Dowding.
The cabinet will continue to be made up of a coalition of Greens, Liberal Democrats and Morecambe Bay Independents (MBIs).
This coalition agreement was established when Councillor Jackson was elected leader last November, following the resignation of Labour's Councillor Phil Black and the collapse of a Labour-Green alliance.
