Graffiti has been removed from Lancaster Castle’s walls after the site was vandalised last night.
The incident happened yesterday evening, prompting local resident Josh Brandwood to take photos of the damage and log the incident with police.
Lancaster City Council acted swiftly this morning to restore the castle to its former glory.
In a social media post, Josh, pictured here with a member of council staff, said: ‘’I’m pleased that it has now been removed.
‘’Well done to Lancaster City Council for their swift response and in particular this wonderful member of staff for their work.’’
Anyone with information on the incident can call 101 quoting log number LANCSPE-12308.
