Bosses at Lancaster’s Business Improvement District have relaunched their Special Projects Fund.
Over the last few years Lancaster BID has offered Special Project grants to provide funding to people organising events or other activities which will help attract people into Lancaster city centre.
Initiatives previously funded include Lancaster Music Festival, Festa Italia, Chinese New Year, Lancaster Jazz Festival, Lancaster Pride and many more.
As demand for funding grows, they have reviewed the application process to ensure the projects that they support are closely aligned with the key priorities from within the Lancaster BID Business Plan, which was written following consultation with our levy paying businesses.
Anyone wishing to be considered for this funding must complete the application form below in as much detail as possible and submit to bidmanager@lancasterbid.org as early as possible and a minimum of two months in advance of your proposed activity.
You are also encouraged to discuss your proposal informally with a member of the Lancaster BID team in advance of completing your application.
If your application is successful, you will be asked to sign a grant agreement confirming your acceptance and to submit a short report on completion. Your grant may be paid in instalments in line with an agreed timeline.
For grants above £2,000, the final 10% will typically be paid once the project is successfully complete. Lancaster BID has the right to request all grant funding is returned in full if the project does not take place or changes significantly from your approved application without our prior agreement.
