Lancashire Fire and Rescue has announced a recruitment drive for new apprentice firefighters.
The service will be recruiting for new wholetime apprentice firefighters from today (August 7) until August 16.
Successful applicants will start their training course in February 2024.
“All of our firefighters bring something different to the table, which emphasises why we encourage applications from a wide range of people from different backgrounds and experiences, so we can better represent the communities we serve.
“We are looking for people who can use their initiative and problem solve, are compassionate, individuals who can keep calm under pressure, enjoy working as part of a team, effective communicators, and most of all, those who genuinely want to make a difference to their communities, and be there in their time of need.”
You can find out more about the role and apply here. The closing date for applications will be noon on Wednesday August 16. (Vacancy may close sooner if large numbers apply)
