There are three chances to take part in the annual CancerCare Santa Dash in our local area this Christmas.
The Santa Dash is a festive fun run where people are encouraged to either dress as Father Christmas, or wear Santa hats or other festive gear.
This year’s 15th annual Lancaster event will take place on Sunday November 27 starting at Market Square at 1.30pm, with a pre-dash warm-up at 1.20pm.
Meanwhile the second annual Morecambe fun run, from the Morecambe Sailing Club Hut to the Midland Hotel, will take place on Sunday December 4 at 11am.
There is also a Santa Dash in Kendal, at the leisure centre, on Sunday December 11 at 11am.

The Santa Dash is one of the CancerCare charity’s flagship events which each year raises thousands of pounds to enable it to provide professional therapy and support to people affected by cancer and bereavement from its centres in Barrow, Kendal, Lancaster, and Morecambe.

As part of the Santa Dash participants will take part in a pre-race warm up to Christmas music and receive a commemorative pin badge at the finish line. Samba Espirito drumming band will also be performing in Lancaster and Morecambe.
Entry is £6 per person or £20 for a family of four.
You can sign up here or you can sign up on the day through a QR code to scan on your device. You can wear a full Santa suit, dress in red, wear a Christmas jumper, or wear a Santa hat.
