A home-made petrol scooter being driven dangerously in Lancaster city centre has been seized and will be destroyed.
Police said they'd received multiple reports of the vehicle causing a nuisance in the St Leonardgate and Moor Lane area of the city.
"Your local PCSOs swiftly attended the area on foot and managed to corner and stop two individuals driving dangerously on a home made type petrol scooter that could reach speeds of 30mph," said a Lancaster Area Police spokesperson, in a 'Stay in the Know' email to residents.
"We wanted to reassure the public that this vehicle has now been seized and will be destroyed, with the two individuals being dealt with appropriately.
"We want to assure the public that illegal vehicles such as this can cause extreme dangers to the public and the riders and will not be tolerated in our town. We continue to crack down! Another one off the streets.
"Thank you to those who reported this and informed our officers."
